Q:

What can I do to fix my problem before submitting a request?

A:

1. CHECK YOUR CONNECTIONS, make sure computer power cords,surge protectors, mouse, keyboard and monitor cords are plugged in.

2.CHECK FOR OVERHEATING, make sure you have not blocked the rear cooling fan vents, causing your computer to overheat.

3. REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER. Sometimes just logging off, shutting down and turning your computer back on will reset your computer and put you back online. Give it a try first, then place a request if these tips don't help

Before placing a Work Request for AR, check here for a possible solution:

Here is a etep by step list of how to do some of the teacher tasks you will be using in AR. :

1. Student Log in and Passwords....:
Refer to the email or instruction sheet provided my Mr. Rigney for user naming conventions. Please note that some students may have a 1 or 2 after their name due to duplicate entryies of the same name. Please view your class list and let these students know their usernames.

2. To Print a Class List....:

First log into AR. You will then need to click on "Reports" under the Accelerated Reader Section. Next, Click on "School Management". Then Click on "Student Information". On the next screen you can choose just to view one class, or just a few students by using the filters and drop down menus. If you just want a complete list, click the "View Report" Button. :

3. To Delete an AR Test....:

After logging in, click on "Class Record Books" under the AR section. On the next screen you may select one of your classes from the drop down menu. Once select make sure you click the set button.(this part is for only those that have more than one class). Next, click "Reading Practice Quizzes". On the next page click on the student you want to view. You will then see a list of the quizzes that student has taken and you may click "Delete" on the quiz you want to Delete. :

4. To Clear a Locked Student....:

Log into AR, Next click on "Personnel, Students and Parents". This is under the Renaissance Place Section. On the next page click "Clear Locked Students". After you have done that you will see a page where you can search for locked students. Since you can only view students that are in you class, just go again and click the Search button to find students in you classes that could be locked out. If you find students click on the button that says "Clear All Locked Students". :

5. Downloading Manual....:

You may also download the usermanual for this software. It is very easy to follow and all the information I have given about can be found in there. To download the manual, Log into AR. In the upper right had corner of the Screeen about the words "Log out" are the words "Download Manual". After clicking there you have many choices. For Accelerated Reader problems go to the Accelerated Reader section and click on "Accelerated Reader Software manual". For questions about STAR, click on STAR Reading Software manual".
